How to spot them and where to look.

Droppings
Rats are constantly eating and as a result leave lots of droppings. Rat droppings are dark brown with a tapered shape. Mouse droppings are smaller (approx.5mm long) and will be scattered skirting boards and inside cupboards.
Holes
They don’t just appear in cartoons, those holes appearing next to the property infrastructure and sometimes within the walls, are where the rodents are burrowing to get to food and water, or to get to the nests that they have constructed.
Noise
A very common sign, especially at night when they are most active. It can point to rodents running, chewing away at various surfaces, or even fighting with one another.
Gnawing Marks
Chewing marks on property surfaces, especially wood and plastic, are a sign of rodents biting their way throughout your property. In the case of rats, their teeth constantly grow, forcing them to continually gnaw away at the closest materials available.
Smells
Mice urinate frequently, leaving behind a strong,ammonia-like scent. Even after the infestation has been removed from the property, the scent can still linger.
